In this mini-lesson, students take an exciting trip to Pluto where they learn what scientists have discovered about this place over the years!
Here are some writing prompts to help students reflect on the mini-lesson. Feel free to copy and paste them into an assignment.
Bonus Activity: Some people think the bright areas on Pluto’s surface look like Pluto, the cartoon dog! You can’t see Pluto in the sky, but you can see the Moon. What shapes or patterns do you see on the Moon? Ask an adult to take you outside when the Moon is up. Make a detailed drawing of it. Do you see any shapes that look like animals or a face or anything else? Come up with as many as you can!
