In this mini-lesson, students discover where diamonds come from and how they are made.
Here are some writing prompts to help students reflect on the mini-lesson. Feel free to copy and paste them into an assignment.
Bonus Activity: Diamonds are worth a lot, and big diamonds are worth more than small ones. But can you think of anything that’s better when it’s small? For example, small animals might be better than big animals because they’re cuter! Think of things you might have at home or at school. Draw or describe at least three things that are better when they’re smaller. Why is it better for these things to be small?
