In this mini-lesson, students will explore our Solar System and learn what a planet needs to sustain life.
Here are some writing prompts to help students reflect on the mini-lesson. Feel free to copy and paste them into an assignment.
Bonus Activity: Living creatures on Earth are good at surviving. Creatures make their homes in places where you might not expect anything to live. You can see for yourself. With an adult, go outside. Search for plants or insects living in surprising places. Hint: Look around the bottoms of buildings. Look at the cracks in sidewalks! What do you notice? Make a drawing of what you find.
