In this mini-lesson, students learn about the benefits of sweating and consider what it would be like if you couldn't sweat!
Here are some writing prompts to help students reflect on the mini-lesson. Feel free to copy and paste them into an assignment. 1. Why do we sweat when we play sports? 2. What did this lesson make you curious about? What other questions do you have about sweat?
Bonus Activity: When you exercise, do some parts of your body get sweaty faster than others? Draw an outline of your body. Color or mark the parts that you think will get sweaty first when you exercise. Then run in place, do jumping jacks, or do something else that makes you sweat. Check your drawing. Were you right about where you got sweaty first? Are you surprised by anything?
